Although I kind of agree with you, if this isn't on tv the ref has to make the call.
Mind you, when the technology is there, every VR call should be 100% correct.

Maybe every call should go up as neutral and let the VR decide or have him pass it back to the ref if he is still unsure

Cheshire, it's Lancashire really

The second decision is a perfect example of the ref guessing and his mate confirming his guess.
If you are not sure sending it upstairs without comment has got to be implemented for next season.

Have to love that tv exchange between Lam, Holbrook and Price. You wouldn’t get that say with Chester, Powell and Agar.

Yes, their needs to be a third option for the VR, to make it his call - without being affected by the "refs call".
Although I'm also in favour of some conversation between the ref and VR during the replays, after all, they are on the same side and getting the call right should be the only outcome that matters and I would be equally happy that, having viewed the replays, the ref could say ok, it's a try/ no try.

What an absolutely abysmal away following by the Warrington fans this evening. They’re second in the league and just over 10 miles apart from Wigan and that’s all they can muster. We took more than they did last Friday night being second bottom and it took well over 3 hours to get home due to motorway road closures.

You may be missing the fact this this was the FOURTH time we've played Wigan this season. Previous Wire following at DW and Anfield, plus the home game, were top notch. THis is why loop games are such a bad idea. It's even possible we will play Wigan for a fifth time in the play-offs. Oh, and, no, I wasn't there last night, but I do live 140 miles away.

In theory we could play Wire 2 more times in the play off/GF

I've said in previous games Thaler orchestrates on Sky if it's Kendall Moore or Mouskas on VR they are loath to overturn their bosses on field decision whatever the slo mo's show. Scared of upsetting the senior man.

Just about to go do some work!

Just to keep that decision in perspective, it was almost identical to the Byrne 'no try' that went against Wigan at Hull a couple weeks earlier.
