Difficult (but not impossible) for us to win it, assuming league placings as it stands we are looking at:
Cas H Wire H Saints A (If win GF, if lose below) Wire H
GF - (Saints, likely)
That's tough.
That is a very tough road. Earlier on in the season I and many others would have mocked the very suggestion of finishing 2nd never mind winning a GF. To say that is a very real possibility now is extraordinary. That being said I do think it may be a step too far. But if we’ve re learned anything this season and at the risk of ripping off Eddie Hemmings; never write off the Warriors

“Thursday’s game is a huge match, for Wigan and Castleford, and the whole of the Betfred Super League in what is shaping up to a drama filled round 29 at both ends of the table. We’ll be working closely with our colleagues at Castleford to look at ways of encouraging as many fans to come to the DW Stadium considering the short notice of this change."
Not much this week to work towards a higher attendance as promised. The game and club can't afford these late changes and particularly not the Thursday night games that clearly aren't popular with the fans.

A very efficient second half from Wigan made up for the sluggish start. We shut Cas down which eventually allowed us a bit of room to express our selves. Nice to see Smithies open his account and I can imagine pitbulls having Partington tattoos after that.
Really professional job in the second half. The likes of Leuluai, Isa and Powell are bang in play off mode now. The only player who may have played himself out the play off side is Navarrete. He was really good last week but had a nightmare spell tonight and I’d guess Byrne will keep his place ahead of him now.

That shot on watts that put him on his backside was amazing. If he carries on the way he’s going he’ll defo a early shout for young player of the year next year.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.

Byrney is cracking lad but I'm concerned about how often he gets snorted by the opposition. Looked like he played through a head knock today and got a big shot on him later on too. Gave up a penalty on our line as well.

He’s definitely a step behind Partington and Smithies in terms of looking ready for that week to week intensity but I just think the signs were there tonight that he’ll stay in ahead of Navarrete. I suppose our other options would be to play Hankinson from the bench to cover a number of positions and the goal kicking or bring Sammut or Shorrocks back in when they’re fit.

I seriously doubt he ever said that about us.
But if it's any consolation, that's one numpty who'll be kakking himself tonight.
