Would have been nice for all the players to come to the north stand and we could have given them the ovation they deserved and said good buy to players leaving best display of the season. But you can understand younger fans running on the park

Unfortunately it was ruined by people not respecting the requests to stay off the pitch. I'm delighted we won and that's all that really matters but selfishness and the need for the ubiquitous selfie spoiled what should have been a great lap of honour after overcoming the adversity of such a traumatic season

It was a great turnout and a very good game

Sadly until Trinity address the real issue that is the stadium people will not turn out week in week out. Last night we had good weather
that gate would be down 1500-2000 on a cold wet night.
A winning team helps yes but even with two back to back top 5 finishers gates were in general poor
The stadium holds the key to everything

The point is that we got them in for a big game. Now we need to keep them interested rather than berating them for not coming all the time or labelling them glory/monkish seekers.
And the guy with the flare and those on the field after the game are putting them off coming again.

Oh get off your high horse you know that’s not how I meant it, I don’t know why you constantly need to dig at me. I don’t actually blame the floaters tbh honest.l but hey you take it literally as ever.

Now to throw it back at you, as your always saying ignore my posts if you don’t like them and practice what you preach for a change and yes I’m annoyed, no need!

Well I have three points to make there.

How can I be constantly be having a dig at you? You've only been posting this season and I reckon I've commented on your posts in single figures. Both positive and negative.

My post wasn't directed only at you but let's say it was, how am I meant to interpret your post any other way but literally when you write it down and I can't see your face/mood when you write.

I can't put you on ignore as a mod can I, otherwise I wouldn't be able to moderate the forum. That one seems a bit obvious but just to be clear I mean it literally.

Been going to that ground for so many years but year on year its just got that bit tattier if that’s the right word, but it’s never bothered me personally as growing up on a council estate rough around the edges is fine by me .
But you are correct it’s hard to attract new or returning fans when the place is slowly crumbling around us ,we need to build our fan base up from not just the die hards like me but the new fans as these will be the future of the club and now expect so much more from a sporting experience .

agreed the stadium holds the key - more attendances - more corporate dollars and therefor being able to buy better players - without it we will be scrapping to survive every year

But to counter that argument if it hadn’t been on SKY then the crowd would have been higher.

I wonder whether the fixture change helped or hindered us in terms of numbers.
It was the right thing to do but, you may have expected a bigger crowd had we played on Sunday.?

What would a Cockney know about rugby league?

Re: 6000+ Wakefield public : Mon Sep 16, 2019 7:54 am
Maybe a few more London would have come on the Sunday as well. From what I read in the social media a few of them lost out on hotel/ train reservations due to the change.

For whatever reason people came out it was great to be on a busy Northstand. There’s a cracking pic of Brough’s DG from taken from the other end showing a packed Northstand.
