We’ve plenty of space to fill but you’re right, the strategy is probably wrong. The point stands that we should be pushing hard via amateur teams IMO. There’s dozens of kids in each club who have a big interest in the game and the Wigan players should be their idols. A guy like Hastings has been brilliant in the community at Salford and the likes of he, George Burgess, Morgan Smithies and co should be wheeled around amateur clubs and schools for that matter to push the message and get the kids interested.

I do feel a buzz about next year that’s not been there for a while. I’ve commented enough on here about wanting to see Lenagan back us or look to sell the club and he’s done that in a big way and that’s brilliant. I’ve not had a season ticket for a good few years because I tend to miss 3 or 4 games a year due to holidays and work but I’m getting one next year as I feel obliged to back the investment. My father is also getting his first one in years and we’ll get season tickets for my 7 year daughter and nephew. I’m sure there’s plenty more in that boat but the big wins will be the stay aways. I’ve got mates who used to go regularly but now spend their money in the pub instead. I hope guys like those feel motivated to get down to a few games.

You can definitely feel a buzz of excitement coming and his seasons not even finished yet.

The new signings.
The newly renovated arena.
The new breed of youth coming though.

My youngest lad (fifteen) used to be a season ticket holder but his interest died off about five years ago. My eldest lad (seventeen) has started going home and away. I've told my youngest he's getting a season ticket next year spend some quality time with his brother ha!

Personally I can't wait for next season. To still be in comp this season is a bonus for me. I'm just really chuffed how well the young guys have done this season and I love the tempo and aggression that they bring to the team.

New quality signings and the younger guys getting another pre season training.
The club marketing team really need to push ST sales and if we need to recruit to improve the marketing team hopefully it is already in IL's budget for next year.

Things seem to be turning for the better and long may it continue.

If you overlook the loss of £1.4 million and the part where the auditors expressed 'material uncertainty' about the ability of the company to continue then yes

This years losses expected to be around £250k and the club feel an average attendance increase of 1,000 or so will help them break even, so as he said things seem to be turning. We’ll get that number on our average attendance and some next year IMO.

Great turnout tonight lads, huge swathes of red. Unfortunately most were seats.
