Yes, I remember that period, those players and a few more refused to play in Trinity’s last home game. Most had secured another club for the following season, and claimed they couldn’t risk injury playing for Trinity before moving on. I suppose they did have a valid point.

It could have been something to do with not being payed aswell.

Those who played did so out of loyalty for the club. I’ve no idea who got paid or if any player received payment. All I know is that those who did play did our club proud.

I don’t know about the expenses although I can imagine it being true

That team was excellent too
He also brought in Paul Sampson, Warren Jowitt, Steve Macnamarra and Martin Masela,

Francis Stevenson, Gary Price, Willie Poaching, Frank Watene and I think Sovatabua were already with us

Also a couple of young lads in Gareth Ellis, Ben Westwood, Andy Speak and Ryan Hudson,

I remember being at the old Boulevard on a hot day and a load of the players lead by Bobby Goulding came and stud in the away stand with us

That could have being a really good team
Sadly we never really got to find out how far they could have gone
