I though it was good to see the Miller, Hampshire ,Jowitt at full back combination again after two year .They played two matches against Hull away and Leeds at home were unlucky to lose both but the ball movement was a lot faster than at any other time of the season .Hope all 3 are given time in the team to let it develope. Though we did not miss Brough at all .

How do you know we didn't miss Brough? Silly comment IMHO. Brough could have kicked 10 40/20's for all we know. I don't get the point of bagging a player who didn't play to somehow promote two who did.

By your logic, Fifita and Arona weren't missed, so let's not bother with them either. There is a broader aspect to the game, it's not all decided on a single game. Yesterday's heroics were no more a pointer the season as a whole than the inept display at HKR was. All the players are important, why denigrate one just because he didn't play and we happened to win.

TJs try was great to see for the win and him personally but it wasn't his speed pulling away that did it. The wing and centre were still on the floor so there is no way they would have caught anyone.
It was his reaction speed and ability to keep ball in field of play.
I hope we see him in full flight again soon.

Other chasers Ratchford and Toby King would have caught many other wingers, including the current internationals McGilvary and Mackinson. Also good to see Tom had the confidence to get across to the sticks rather than heading for his near corner.

I'm not trying to take anything away from his try as many wouldn't have been reactive enough to score it but what you say just isn't true.
King was not the centre on that side. Charnley and Mamo were the right edge for Warrington. Both were sat on the floor when Tom realised the ball was free and was already 2 - 3 steps ahead.
Ratchford had over run the ball so was 5-6 metres further away and facing the wrong way.
The only one close enough to make an impression was the second row Clark who Tom was clearly going to beat.

Like I said. Great reactions, pick up and speed off the mark but it doesn't show us if he has his ultimate speed back yet.
Signs look good though.

Valid and free speech are not the same thing.

You have every right to express your opinion and I'm happy to read it and answer it.

I would not wish to rob you of that right, however, this is a discussion forum.

The fact that you have made a comment doesn't make it a valid one, on this occasion I feel your point is invalid for the reasons given.

Support the team that plays on the day would be my argument, rather than criticising and imaginary team selection that didn't. Brough didn't play, he's not part of the narrative of what occurred yesterday IMHO.

Not sure I agree with the last bit, Tom looked in full flight to me and was very quick indeed. The lad is blessed with a very relaxed running style but he was motoring. I don't think either Charnley or Mamo would have got even close to chasing him down no matter what the circumstances. Though I accept that I'm speculating there.

I try to say the similar things to my kids, when they wonder why I don’t always come all over enthusiastic when we win.

I will also say that you dont write a team off after one game but the same can also be said about a win doesn't all of a sudden mean you are too 4 fodder either.

A good way to keep grounded

It is Eastern. Obviously be happy about winning but not too ecstatic as it hits harder when we lose. Likewise a poor loss, don't be too downbeat as a remarkable win could be just round the corner. Two years now we've had shocking first games and recovered.
Must admit if we went on a CC run be hard to keep emotions in check then lol.

You're absolutely right and strangely, we are probably exactly where we would have expected two games in, with 2 points. However, I think just about everyone would have expected the points to come at KR.
Although it was a great win, it's only two points and now, it's all about backing up the performance.

Cas are a very tough side to beat and especially on their own (small) pitch - looking forward to it now though :D

Think Chezzy said he's not beaten Cas or Cas away yet so be nice to do so this week. They've been a bit of a bogey side for a few years. We were there's prior to that.
You're right, most would have said we'd be on two points two games in taking Catalans out of the equation

Huddersfield always used to beat us but, it doesn't happen so often these days.
Everything in life goes in cycles and hopefully we can finally get over the top of Cas and take back the local bragging rights.

My in laws are from the wrong side of the common and it's absolutely unbearable.
Mind you, they havent relegated us (twice) so there's still plenty of ammunition to throw back at them :D
