Yes, sort of. In 2017, we were 16-0 up at half time, only to throw it away. We did get back in the lead, but they came back again. This was the game when Fififa, went celebrating in front of Cas lot, when he thought he'd won the game, only for it to bite us on the backside

Not a good birthday celebration for me that night

The Cas bubble against us has got to burst sometime, the law of averages and all that. We've got to look at yesterday's game as a datum point and adopt the same effort and ethos to get that Castleford monkey off our backs. Was the last tome we won there when the floodlight blew up??

Think the game against Cas we lost at home when we were 16 points up at half time was lost through a drop goal in the last second ..Can not believe we have not bet Cas since 2015 was that when the lights were on Fire . Know over the last 5 year we have come close but can not get over the line. No pun intended

Yes your right mc Shane is the glue that holds the side together get in his face and disrupt his influence on the game. Obviously they aren't a one trick pony but if we can play with that intensity on fri and maybe up our anti in the kicking game we will put our selfs in a good position to come away with a win .

I can't tell Kopi from Westerman or Tanginoa and Tangata when they play is down the other end.
Hampshire and Wood too in poor light.

Wood and Wood are easy to tell apart. A few more gingers please.


Welcome to my world. I was saying this on commentary. From the side view of the pitch the numbers aren't visible if the players a re side on and I kept getting Kopi and Westerman mixed up as well as Tangata and Navarette. Tanginoa has a distinct running style so is a little easier.

Cas is a big game, bigger than Wigan ?, bigger than St's ?, I don't think so, they're all big games one way or another and the players will be approaching each game accordingly.
You could argue the team has a mental hoodoo for big games generally and rationalize that, but a particularly heavy hoodoo for Cas....Nah, they've just been better and luckier when it counts.


Don’t agree, your argument makes no sense to me. I accept it’s probably not collective in that I doubt it means anything to say Josh Wood at the moment. However had he been with us for a few years now it certainly would.

Ditto Cas, you can see how much it means to certain of their players. Basically not all the players are caught up in the emotion of it but there are far more than normal who feel it. That’s what makes derbies, if it wasn’t the case then they wouldn’t be special would they!

Derbies are very much a mental thing and hoodoos most certainly do exist imo and long may it continue. I just want it to reverse.

The lights were on fire during the easter thursday game of 2013, ian millward was in charge. You were winning easily enough when the game was halted with 7 minutes to go.

2015 was the last time you beat us, first game of the season I think we were 26 10 in front with 13 minutes to go and you scored 3 unanswered tries to win the game after we declined to take the 2 when we were 16 in front as it did appear that comfortable.

I generally do expect a bit of a reaction from us after a poor defeat like saturday.
