He's a recent convert from union so I assume he may have been confused?

Yes, it was noticeable when York brought the likes of Green on that London struggled.

If Allgood plays next week and you start Butler as well as Battye ie one of them nominally plays at 13, you will probably be a bit more solid up the middle.

The irony is we went to the opposite extreme, Parata, who I thought would love the artificial pitch, was injured so we went with a prop (Bussey) playing hooker for about 70 minutes, but it worked.

Correct in RU if the ball bounces off corner flag without otherwise being in touch or touch-in-goal then play continues unless it was grounded against the post.

I was stood very near the incident and Armitage was clearly confused. I assume the ref was justified in issuing a yellow but it was very soft .

He was playing union until recently..... He's a pro league player now... Learn the rules

To be fair there are some seasoned RL pros who don't know all the rules. Fev nearly lost a game a few years ago because having just taken the lead with a drop out, one of our players didn't realise you can't gather a short kick off until it has gone 10m, even if you are the defending team, fortunately our opponents missed the resulting penalty.

Other rules some RL players don't seem to know...
You can't take a 20m tap if all your own players aren't back behind the 20m line.
The tap following a 40-20 kick takes place from 20m in not 10m in (some refs seem to forget this too).

Armitage actually said he didn't know the rules! He had already been warned about a similar thing earlier in the game

Squad is not strong or deep enough to challenge the main side in the league (Toulouse, Leigh and Fev).
