To be mullered you need to be put on your arris or sparked out. O'Connor took the blows and broke the guys nose. Tallis looked visibly shocked when he came off the field as I think that he couldnt believe O'Connor could take his cheap shots and then snot him.

Alternatively mullered as you know is turning up at Wembley for a CC cup final get your arris spanked and fail to score.

Yeah, O’Connor deffo won that exchange for me, he took 3 or 4 unanswered clean shots and to be fair didn’t really flinch and managed to come back with some of his own. The best part of it was him waking off the pitch completely unflustered by it all. If Tallis was as hard as they say then Terry has a great chin.

Some good examples of '7os and '80s games on youtube. It is a different world. I was watching this old ITV RLAction programme of Wigan against Leeds '83. I especially enjoyed seeing the hooker feeding the scrum from eye level. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua4wgva2quE But for a personal favourite try https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi5SnxkvkG4 ...not so much a rugby match as a war crime.
