Thought our forward were great first 20. Ran in v hard with real aggression.
Intensity dropped off when they were subbed, understandably as we lost lots of size.
I would question why it took so long to bring them back on.
Greenwood showed up much better. Made good post contact yards which is something he was very lacking in last year, defence needs a bit more work still though.
We played nicely on attack first 20 but I thought the halves often took the wrong option on the 5th tackle leaving us disorganised for the last play.
Although French had some great touches would like to see him inject himself into the game more, and more effort made to put him in space by the halves.
Commitment on our line defence was very good.
Overall much better than last week and a good win with some very nice attacking play.
Not to focus on the negatives, because like you said plenty went right, but our last play options are a massive frustration.
We seem to be on top, but ease the pressure by executing poor kicks on the 5th.
Our end of set plays were terrible yesterday with even Faz kicking at one point or us getting caught in possession on a few occasions. I don’t know if Smith isn’t demanding the ball enough or they’ve decided not to put too much pressure on him but I’d be going through him 95% of the time on that last play outside the opposition 20.

I think it's something we've not been good/great at since Deacons short stint with us.
I know it's boring, but I'd much rather see us find touch and force an error through our D Vs aimlessly putting the usual bomb up in the air. We're quite robust in defence and if we can keep our pens down, then I'd much rather see us build pressure that way.

Yeah me too. How many times do we see a try come off a kick to the corner these days? If you go back about ten years it was a great tactic at the time with Richards scoring high bombs for fun. Why haven't we moved on? It would be interesting to look back through this season and last season to calculate how many tries were scored with a high bomb to the corner.
I would much rather we kick along the floor into space, maybe force an error by fumble or held behind the try line for a drop out. At worst the opposition play the ball from their own line.
One thing that has concerned me over the last two weeks is the number of times Jackson Hastings has been tackled in possession of the ball on the 4th tackle, meaning that our only kicking option on the 5th eas Harry Smith. This makes it so much easier for the opposition to only have to worry about one player.

It happened before the Farrell kick in the second half and we were that far left, that Faz had no option just to hit and hope. I’d like to see Hastings drift around the field more and control things. There were times yesterday he was playing like an extra forward taking the ball in. He’s playing well enough Hastings but I don’t think we’ve got the best out of him yet.
Hastings sees so much of the ball, though. I was just looking at the stats. Marshall worked really hard out of defence, 151m, and more carries than anyone, except... Hastings
I think it's a continuing theme, though. Go back a couple of years, and we were rather too reliant on a moment of magic from George Williams or Gildart to wins games. Nowadays you could say similar, but replace GW and Gillie with French and Marshall.
