Wigan have recently cancelled Clark’s move to Toulouse which was going to be finalised last week.

Very strange.

I agree, I think that may be at Lam's request.

He’s from Haydock

Watched an interview with Clubb before where he seemed to suggest he’d spoke to Lam and put a case forward that he should start and that Bullock was suited to playing from the bench. If you keep a place on 3 carries and 16 tackles as a starting front row then props are redundant at Wigan. We may as well find more back row forwards and play a full pack of them.

If that’s the case and Lam is starting it off the back off that then it’s comical. Bullock isn’t a world beater, or he isn’t playing like he is, but I’d rather 4 Bullocks then a single Clubb. I genuinely can’t fathom how he gets anywhere near a starting berth. He offers nothing other than hitting a HB who’s just kicked the ball.

It’s always half of the Yickers letting the side down at Eddie’s. Had to put up with them for 5 years around the days of Bobbie Goulding and Sonny Nickle.

I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing. He certainly said he met with Lam to discuss starting games but maybe the Bullock part was him just saying in the interview that he felt Bullock was good off the bench, rather than him saying that’s what he told Lam (that part wasn’t hugely clear).

I love watching this side at the minute. The attitude is brilliant and we’re defending for our lives but the gaping hole in that starting front row is so clear. I like Bullock from the bench but he got hardly any time Thursday for some reason, so if we’re going to give our biggest metre maker the least minutes, It isn’t working. If 3 carries gets you a start as a prop then it’s a disgrace. Lam should be asking for another chat with Clubb and putting those stats on the table and asking what colour water carrying bib he wants.

If Clubb is the best option then I am getting worried again. A decent prop should be able to take that number of carries without breaking sweat. If the game plan is for him to fill a hole in defence and nothing else when we are lacking go forward we are being rather two dimensional. It is time to bring in a bit of rotation before we need to urgently call on players who have not played for a year and a half.

If he was making 20+ tackles a stint you could argue that.

I don't see how anyone looks at those stats and believes he is worth a place.

I had to put up with them at Eddie’s during the early 2000’s although the Murrayfield CC win and the Good Friday win with the kids temporarily gave me bragging rights

Once Gildart/Manfredi/Marshall are back, that will push Farrell and Isa back into the pack and we can make some decisions.

I’d rather Isa start at prop over Clubb! At least you can guarantee work rate and effort.

How has club gone from not in the 17 for the first couple of games to starting now.
