No he won’t they are not lovers.

MC has already stated he’s ready to go but will see the ground through, I think that’s pretty clear.

If MC does decide to move on after the ground upgrade ,it will be a much better place to try and attract new investors than when he turned up and basically took over a bomb site. He must have seen something in the old girl or he wouldn’t have put so much time and effort in keeping us on this eventful journey ,the belle vue rollercoaster , with all its ups and down ,twists and turns,, Whatever happens going forwards the club has to keep going at all costs . Players ,coaches even head honchos come and go but we must keep striving for that promised land ,if there is one .

I was there six weeks ago and it looks far worse than that.

I think when we go back a lot will be shocked as to just how awful it is, I was.

DONT TOUCH THE WATCH

Dread to think how much MC has tied into the club of his own money. Without him we’d of had no club, like him or loath him. For that he will always have my respect. Who in this current climate is willing to lose £100’s thousands, Millions trying to compete in SL, I’m pretty sure that’s what Davy has done. (could be wrong).

It is ridiculous to suggest Carter should move on.
We should cling to him as long as we can.

Losing him would be far more damaging than losing or keeping a coach or player.

How do you know? Surely that depends on who replaces him?

I for one definitely don’t want MC to go pop tart and I have the fullest of respect for the man and what he has and is doing for our club. But if that day does come in the future ,we move on in a much better state than when he arrived . And to that end hopefully someone will be willing to take up the challenge , preferably with deep pockets .

Agree Mr Carter and Co have got the club to a good place of the field wiped out a million + det ( As much as the Huddersfield Chairman puts in to the club per season) Mr Carter said at the zoom meeting if we go down the club is in a good place to survive

Think 8 wins in 48 games sums it up for me .Any were else he would have gone a long time ago .It's not just that, the rugby we have been playing over the last few year as been shocking .

#CherryPicking

Even when you're cherry picking at the most extreme level (ignore 2019 before the injury crisis, count cup games, but only those against SL opposition) it's still only 8/42. in exactly 2 calendar years. which is where the knockers get their 19%.

If you think the rugby we've been playing over the last 'few' years has been shocking, I think you've got a short memory. 2015, now that was shocking. We conceded 929 points in 23 games that season (over 40 points per match) including the infamous 80-0 drubbing at Warrington.

It all depends on whether you believe there have been special / extenuating circumstances in the last 2 seasons or it's all down to coaching.

It's not good and we're in a bit of a hole, but this arbitrary selection of results is not reflective of reality.
On complete league seasons (where we play everyone)
2016 10/23 = 43%
2017 13/23 = 57%
2018 10/23 = 46% (including 1 draw)
2019 11/29 = 38%
2020 5/19 = 26%

currently
2021 0% from 5 games... let's see how the season progresses.

How many games do you think we'll win this year? (somewhere between 0 & 20) It could be a terrible season and we get relegated or it could be a perfectly normal (slightly overachieving) season. Until we can compete off the field with other clubs, we won't be successful on the field. It's the nature of professional sport.

FWIW I do think this will be CC's last season as without success, coaches get stale.
Who we replace him with and whether he will be more successful (42% win rate up to present [48.5 out of 116] and average 8th in the league).
Be careful what you wish for.

My opinion also, apart from MC balancing the books, I believe he doesn’t take a salary as CEO. How much salary would a new incoming CEO require?. We have seen a previous chairman, (who sold the family silver) and his family members working at the club take substantial salaries at the time. I know MC rubs some people the wrong way, I don’t always agree with some things he says and does, but I’ll back him where the good of the club is concerned.
