Primrose and Blue : Sun Sep 23, 2018 1:41 pm
...for me and for you, they’re the colours we all love to see.

This year we have a very minimal amount of primsrose anywhere to be seen on our home or away kits. It’s been more “No primrose for you, just blue and more blue, that’s the colour we’re forcing on you”!

Just watching Chelsea in association football now and their away kit is a thing of beauty:

I’d love a home kit like that next season.

Get some primrose back (and not luminous highlighter pen yellow that we’ve seen from ISC before, just a nice shade of pale yellow)!

As I understand it the p&b was adopted in a failed attempt to obtain sponsorship from Lady Greenall. The blue reflected her Tory politics and the primrose because that was rumoured to be her favourite flower. Personally, I've got no problem with the primrose, but I'm no lover of the blue.

Don’t think it was failed, think they were fairly involved with the club at the time. The blue was indeed a nod to their links with the Tory party. I think the primrose was because Lady Daresbury was a member of the Primrose Society?

I agree, more promrose next season, the kits have been predominantly blue for a while now.

I agree with RD on a previous thread. Would love to a all white kit for the away strip.

Not that this is Paris fashion week, but, I don't want to see a predominantltly white shirt, as a home kit. Our official club colours are Primrose and Blue.

It would be nice to have a predominantly Primrose home kit, for once. I can't remember one, in my watching lifetime. The nearest ones were to 50% ones from 89 to 95

The 1989/90 home kit, with narrower blue stripes on a primrose background, was one of the best looking takes on the classic p&b stripes I thought.

I also liked the 2002 away kit.

Belting kit this one. Brings back happy memories of Mike Greg, Dessie etc.
Bring back Bukta :-)

The wire v Aus tourist with captain Bobby Fulton.
We had a special all primrose shirt with the iconic W badge.
Blue shorts and socks.

My favourite shirt.
