When my club didn't exist it was still bigger than yours

"She's been arrested again" would be a great name for a Cheltenham race winner.

To reconcile respect with practicality, what is the optimum speed for a hearse?

And its not confined to the UK. Perhaps Rupey should have been more humble in front of the parliamentary committee

So, OnDigital's biggest shareholder was Carlton Communications, any guesses as to who was Head of Communications at Carlton at the time of all this skullduggery?

Lewis Carroll didn't have the depth of the rabbit hole right at all, did he?

Stepping down as non-exec chairman, remaining on the board.

It should be pointed out that the accusations re Pay TV in Australia were made by Fairfax press, the direct competitor to News here, and that they have already started to backpedal from their initial attempt to link the newspaper hacking in the UK to the Pay TV award here. Theer was also no hacking involved apparantly.

I think one question ought to be asked as well - how come Britain has such a dreadful, toxic tabloid print media? There is nothing like it at all here - the tabloid stuff lives on supposed 'current affairs' shows on TV (including the imaginatively named "A Current Affair"). The TV shows' popularity suggests that there's an appetite for salacious gossip and the like. So why no printed tabloids here? Why does the UK have such a roll call of tabloid dreadfuls, almost unique in the world - at least in terms of scale of their readership?
