| I don't know how I missed this but it seems that Osborne has encouraged merger of Local Government Pensions Schemes (contributory) and is now rebranding them as a sovereign wealth fund (when the funds are no such thing) and is to direct them to invest in his pet infrastructure programmes. So robbing from the punters to pay construction companies (often foreign) to build political vanity projects that nobody else would fund due to . If you are a member of such a scheme are you protesting as surely their long term values will slip? Seems the thin end of the wedge - what next will government steal, Other forms of private savings, houses deemed too big for you?

| I have one of these pensions. My National Insurance contribution is going up to the standard rate in April now that I am no longer 'contracted out' and I will join the single-tier state pension whether I like it or not.

| Nice one Flat man. Shouldn't you be busy trying to disprove gravitational waves, you know, your one man stand against NASA, science and the whole of the logical world?

| Imagine a think tank who's remit is 'spiffing new wheezes to part folk from their money'.
I mean Osborne doesn't think these things up, he will just ask for the latest raft.
Of course there has to be taxes, but folk like to plan and know where they stand on important things like pensions.
These kind of people don't give a damn as long as the books balance ... they will be well cared for.
Come back Wolfie Smith ....

I don't know if Gideon is guilty of anything dodgy but his brother, Adam, is. He has just been struck off as a psychiatrist for having an affair with a vulnerable patient. He was also suspended a few years ago for passing dodgy prescriptions.

I would imagine the brother's morality may be shared by Georgie boy?

| One of my suppliers was scathing of Osborne after he flogged his house three days before the announcement of HS2 which was due to run through the constituency.
Can't remember exactly where it is but I do know there was a town hall meeting at which Osborne was supposed to appear and explain his actions. A car turned up which looked suspiciously like his and sat with the engine running for a couple of hours in the car park but when disgruntled locals attempted to identify the occupant it drove off.
