So whats everyones thoughts on halifax chances of getting into superleague do you think they will be given the nob on the 23rd july or will the rfl bottle it again. The club isnt making as much noise about this as i thought they would.

I know that the RFL are frequently making cock-ups but I really would not like them to give us "the nob"!

See the other thread pal, Not much we can say now, I am certainly optomistic.

Great facilities, Made the profit, Great sponsorship deals, 4 finals in 3 years, ( 2x league GF, 1 Northern Rail Nines and NRC final ) could be 3 from 4 but even if not 50 % final win rate aint at all bad, Youth structure in place etc.

Cas and Wakey i think will be down.

.... when we all know that, by rights, it should be Quins and Crusaders.

There is one thing though. If Wakey or Cas go down you can be certain that they will retain most of their supporters as RL is in their blood and deep set in their culture and they will be in SL again at some point whereas if Quins or Crusaders go down they won't last a season.

Yes they will retain their support which is both fantastic for the club and fantastic for championship RL attendances, Which in turn will help more clubs reach the 2500 bench mark, The promoted clubs would get their closet fans out and on the terraces and build a growing Brand awareness and also a growing fan base.

If done correctly by the RFL other than the quins and crusaders favouratism it would/could show that licensing has indeed worked. ( never thought i would say that ) but widnes and halifax have done exactly what was asked, Cas and Wakey havn't. They get 3 years in championship to build their stadiums without going into administration, so doing it responsibly. It might make some of the other SL clubs think twice about being able to stay in SL long term and resting on their laurels.

Halifax are hardly Wigan in terms of overall Club structure but there's at least 3 Clubs Halifax should be able to replace in Super League where people shouldn't bat an eye-lid to be honest.

Unfortunatly there's to many deals, behind closed doors discussions and rule changes which doesn't make anything certain in RL.

Personally speaking I think we'd be utterly robbed if we weren't given a place in 3 weeks. Can't be arsed debating my views for the 100th time so I'll just stick with that.
