So according to Boots N all, the winner on Sunday ticks a box for the next round of licences. I presume that's right but I had been unsure - has it been confirmed for definite? I struggle to see how that is a fair process to any team which is relegated from SL, as it means they would have less opportunities to tick the box.

I suspect any relegated SL club will be getting a big advantage in terms of a parachute payment and/or salary cap exemption, so they will have plenty chance!

Indeed. At which point the RFL will argue that we've had a season (ie this one) to tick a box on an even keel.

Regardless of anyone ticking boxes the reality is that there are only four candidates for relegation.
Wakefield seem to be doomed already.
Uncle Festers Money, sorry the sparsely supported Salford seem to have slipprd out of danger.
Harlequins have been heavily assisted by the RFL over the last few years both in helping to pay the players on time
and seconding one of their senior staff to help in marketing.
That leaves Crusaders. Ponder these unrelated facts. Peters Pies sponsor Superleague. Peters Pies are based in Wales.
Nigel Wood is the Chief Executive of the RFL.

Who cares about ticking a box? In all likelyhood Widnes are the last team to get admittance in to SL. Theres a final and a trophy at stake, that will be the focus of both teams.
