He left Salford for "Health Reasons" Dont want someone coming in who will float in and out.

Obviously the name on everyones lips is Karl Harrison, Yes he'd be a good coach for Fax,[b/]BUT[/b] how much compensation would we need to pay Batley. would it be worth it?

Brew, at a dinner this year featuring Karl Harrison, Mark Preston, Greg Austin and a few others, Karl said he was not paid by Batley. He said he coached them for "not a penny" (his words).

When asked if he would like to coach Halifax he replied "you already have a coach, but, at some time yes, but not for free"

If this is the case would we have to pay compensation?

I guess that would depend on whether or not he has a contract.

Also, if he'd been coaching Batley for "free", he's done it for a reason, and would he walk out on them at this point of the season?

The Shay catering group are adamant Mcraes the man for the job.
Several night clubs and breweries are in crisis talks, their forecasts have been thrown into turmoil with this news.

We've had this debate on this forum before. I feel i must dispel this myth that Harrison does not get paid a penny for doing the Batley job. What tosh.
He gets a very generous part-time wage as do most coaches outside of SL, partly funded by our Squadbuilder association. I should know, some very good friends of mine are on the committee of that organisation. I suppose they were lying to members at this years AGM, and the one before that?
