Sky News on, call in, have lunch or have a lunch meeting and meet a friend or colleague!



This week and next week we are trialling it every day

then depending on demand we may change to Tuesdays and Thursdays only

Well done to them for trying something , I hope it comes off for them. They have to get the place used 7 days a week in my opinion that`s what it`s about Calderdale rate payers deserve a place they can get the use from even though you may not be interested in football or rugby.
As an aside I hear the over 50s activity meeting they have going on down at the Shay apears to be going well,it has outgrown the Supporters bar and is moving to a bigger room down there. The more we get the place used the better for everyone and well done to Frank and his team for starting it off.

Maybe the bar could invest in a small stakes/prizes fruit machine, quiz machine or pool table to up revenue streams. None of these require taxes to operate. I think Dewsburys bar has something similar.

If they did food at prices like that on Match Days people may go in, At Leigh you could have a Pie, Chips and Beans with a Pint for about £5, its the same firm so why not?

Exactly,take the under 23's when you can sit in the East Stand but go to the Burger Bar behind the South Stand.
East Stand a cup of Oxo £2, burger bar, £1.00
No chips at the East Stand, luvly jubly chips at the burger bar, £1.40.
