Wigan & surrounding district RLFC increase their chances of actually winning silverware in 2013 by buddying up with Leigh. But only very slightly.....

Sorry, but as a traditionalist & Fax fan, you've sold your souls to the next door neighbours, if Fax did this with Bradford or Huddersfield i'd be gone before the ink on the paper was dry.

Things must really have been desperate. I wonder if the deal just offers some sort of financial security because it sounds like Leigh are on their booty.

Also makes you wonder why Barrow didnt want to get involved with Wigan despite holding talks but Leigh now fancy it.

I think before we condemn leigh people should get the facts . I thought , perhaps wrong , that the four clubs and barrow who voiced dissent at the dr system laid down certain criteria ie picking only under 23 year olds , not in super league"s teams top twenty earners etc . If Leigh are following those views then you can't really attack them As I've said on previous threads I dontt like the dr system , it distorts the the whole comp , makes a mockery of team selection etc etc .interesting to hear fax"s views if they have broken ranks so let's see what develops and then you can knock em !!!!

For your information Rickster, Leigh currently have a very good crop of U20's, good enough to put 50 points on Fev last week or the week before.

Answer me this:

How do they promote their own kids if they take on Wigan's U23 year olds ? Do you realise how many of Wigan's senior squad actually fall into that age bracket BTW ?
