BEWARE - PARKING WARDENS OPERATING SUNDAY : Fri Nov 08, 2013 2:11 am  

Be generally aware where you park this Sunday. Read the on-street signs carefully on Clare Road and surrounding areas. Monday to Saturday you can park in residents only bays but not Sundays. Parking Wardens always operate round these areas on Matchdays and issue Fixed Penalty Notices. Be careful and don't let them spoil your day to remember!

Also. Keep your valuables out of view. Quite a few crack-dens are not so far away, so the odd opportunist undesirable is sure to be nearby

Just to add to that as well for anyone travelling over in there car, make sure you arrive in plenty of time, parking around the stadium is limited, there is the multi-story car park just behind the north stand, but I'd imagine it would be a nightmare getting away after the game. Your best bet is parking on the streets in the town centre (it's free on Sundays) and then walking on to the ground it's only about a 10 minute walk.

Are you sure it's free on a Sunday, lots of wardens last Sunday.

Yeah all street parking in Halifax town centre is free on Sunday's, they only charge Monday - Saturday 8am - 6pm

]It is free parking on a Sunday, however you will get a ticket if you park were you should be displaying a parking permit

The Stadium car parks are being operated on a pass only basis as issued by the RFL, however the Council have provided the following list of Car Parks that will be available on the day :-

Just watch out for the "residents only" parking outside of Monday-Saturday 08:00-18:00 on some streets.

I have a spot I usually use that's on single yellow lines (no parking Mon-Sat 8am -6pm), and hope that the yellow line means it's still vacant on Sunday.

It'll be strange on Sunday with a big crowd but no particular team to support! I think it might need to be Tonga for me, so that Scotland go through?
