I'll start this. These are my views on playing a superleague team with a superleague referee (yeh right). Widnes were offside at most plays, by virtue of the fact that they start running when we started to put the ball to the ground, rather than when the ball is played. I lost count of The number of forward passes that went un punished, or un noticed, with the exception of the one we did, which gave them the field position fit their second try. Hicks obviously forgot his contact lenses today as he constantly had to ask his touch judges what happened, one try scored by Widnes had a knock on and a clear forward pass, but he ruled it out for a double movement.
No sour grapes as I went to the game expecting a loss but came away really proud of the defence and the spirit shown by the whole team. Onwards to the next game.
I agree the score line flattered them I wish we could have kept them out for 2 more minutes how good would 4-0 have looked? I also partly agree about the Ref he gave us very, very little but we coughed the ball up far too often today and that killed us but our defence was AWESOME, what an effort we knocked them down time after time. We just tired at the end which cost us.
The reffing was awful. No question about that. We played well against full time players and a one sided ref. I don't normally knock refs but today was worse than awful and a full time time!!!
But we showed how far have we have come on in a season. I'm feeling excitded for next year already. I would keep this squad. Anyway back to today, well done lads a great great effort. I feel a bit flat like we when your winning and then lose in the last few seconds. That's because we played so well and I thought we would win. Fantastic Fax!!!!

RM did question some of the interpretations after the game and did say that he wished the teams performance was reffed on how it were instead of how Championship teams were meant to play the game.
To be 0-4 down with 4 minutes to play is a testament to how far this team has come and our defence for a champioship team is first class, we can have a big say in this league and will not be here to make up the numbers. With a couple of good additions next season we should be able to push for the top 2 whoever is in this league. We have the platform, I mean in the forwards we have simply looked bigger and fitter than than any other team in this league and with our young players improving all the time I simply cant wait for next season. Oh and next week.
I agree with all the above posts. I hate losing but today was as good as a loss gets. Off to Hull next week and let's go again. Up The Fax! Victorian Café Bar. Brunswick Rocket 4.7 % Mmm!

First and foremost, well done on your performance. You out enthused us showed good character throughout. Your fitness more than matched ours too
Don't want to sound big headed, but even though we were dire I never thought we would lose. Felt we could step it up a couple of gears if we needed to.
Scott Murrell was quality, showed our halfbacks how to kick for starters, but hardly noticed your other halfback (Robinson?). Richard Moore targeted Kevin Brown throughout, and contributed to Kev's diabolical performance. Saltonstall played well too, plenty of energy.
Surprised you're mentioning the officials. He disallowed 3 Widnes try's, one was a certain try, so I'm not sure how he's being biased towards the bigger club. I think the RFL should come out and clarify things, are we playing SL rules or Championship as the ruck is totally different.
Think you'll do well in this daft new league, can see you beating Wakey + Sheffield at least.

Brown is not a great player. He's ok
As for the ruck, bloody hell we were penalised for laying on, flopping ect. Widnes did the same slowed the play and Never got penalised. There are no rule differences.
Fitness. We were as fit as you. You won and did deserve it..... Just. I listened to radio Leeds after RM said we played the top of the bottom 4 of SL today and lost by 14. Which flattered you. Your 'stars' look like decent RL players nothing special. If I were a Victims fan, sorry Vikings fan I would be worried about your up coming fixtures. You could be fighting for you SL place. It was good to see a large support form you today and hopes you enjoyed it at the Shay.

We all enjoyed it, always a great day at the Shay...
That was the worst performance we have had all season, we were terrible (without taking anything away from you). I can't explain how bad we were. We played 4 players who have just come back from long term injuries and a player who's only been in this country for 10 days, so it was always going to be a little disjointed, just didn't expect it to be that disjointed. We've got too much quality in the squad to go down. Plus we've also got the iPitch which people go on and on and on about...
Super League rucks are a lots slower defensively, mainly due to all the boring wrestling that takes place. Wrestling to that extent doesn't happen in the Championship.

Which was the certain try? The miles forward pass, the miles offside one from a kick, or the double movement one?
I thought the ruck was too slow and a quicker one would have benefited us.
You will be fine though, you will hammer both Bradford and Sheffield.
