Honest question, not fishing here but what's your opinion on the reserve league? are you glad you pushed on with it?

Would you have rather invested in the first team?

Im interested as I believe there should still be an Academy, Alliance and first team but I believe it should be mandatory at an Pro-club.

I thought I heard somewhere we were waiting for a couple of clubs for some reason, I thought Eagles were one and possibly Saints, but I could well be wrong???

Sheffield are scrapping their reserves. Announced today. http://www.totalrl.com/sheffield-eagles-reserves/ Not sure what the format is this year but last year it was pathetic. More matches cancelled than actually played. Loads of rearranged fixtures played at stupid times. Think Leigh only played about 12 games all year and half of those were completely one sided affairs that helped nobody. By the end of the season I think we had about 8 of our most promising reserves lads out on loan in Champ 1 as they were getting zero development in the reserves.

And there we have it people. That's how Sheffield are full time. No reserves and playing on a recreation ground. Quality

I'm not really sure how the Eagles can moan about not getting the right level of accreditation when they play on a ground only when BUCS tiddlywinks season has finished.
Saying that it's a real shame for the young lads they have there as they've done nothing wrong and could now just get chucked on the scrap heap.
