If it follows the same format as last season, bottom 2 relegated with the top 4 playing off (1v4 and 2v3) before the final.
Makes sense for it to be held at the ground of the highest position team rather than a neutral venue, but Fev v London managed to muster a crowd of 4179 at Widnes last year. Maybe a few neutrals, but not a bad turnout at all.
If (and it's a pretty big "if") things go in line with league position, then a final against Bradford would be a decent day out - just because it's Bradford!
Time to blood some youngsters/reserves now, picking the best team on form (and not reputation/salary) when it comes to the playoffs. We miss out on the extra funding, but (to try and get some positives!) we should use the opportunity to build on the foundations we've being trying to lay with the reserve team. We need to start planning for next season now, with one eye on a tiny bit of success at the end of this one.
