I have always believed the aim of an amateur sports club is to achieve the best results it can, with the players avaiable and in doing so those players enjoy their participation.
For a professional (or semi professsional) club, players must still get satisfaction from what they do but the club should seek to achieve the best they can with the resources available. Which is why I believe you don't always have to come top to achieve your goals.
At the moment I can guess what the club are aiming for, and failed this year, but I would like a clear statement from the BOD to clarify this and set expectations rather than the constant waffle about "building foundations" etc.
