I would have snapped someone's hand off if they'd offered me a comfortable top 6 place at the halfway stage. Promotion is possible, but would require some improvement in not shipping goals. This team would get eaten alive in the Premiership, and although I would not complain about promotion, accept that another year in this league would probably be better in the long term.

I disagree with Huckerby. He was very effective for us. Thomas Brolin on the other hand

for what he cost i would have to disagree with you. he was a bit part player.
i'll let you into a secret. wilkinson didn't want brolin, he was foisted on him by fotherby. he had a clause in his contract that said he could go on a free if he played reserve team football. therefore he never got fit.

david rocastle was someone else who was always injured when it came to training too. he was never even close to being match fit.

there was a director at leeds at the time who got a bung for every little thing used in the ground from napkins to burgers to players. he now is a rich man and has bought a top non league side who are just about bust after his managing them for ten years

saw him have a good game at york in the league cup but it was his only one. scuttled off to hull IIRC

Also we sold Noel Whelen to fund the Brolin deal. Was gutted when we let him go!

I agree with the first part though I'm not so sure we'd get eaten alive in the premiership. There's some really poor teams in there this year and it's as weak as it's been for a long time.
