What a great performance all round - special call outs to Myler, Dwyer, Newman and Prior.

I was really impressed with the team spirit - there seemed to be a real buzz between the lads, something that I’ve not noticed in a few years.

Whilst I thought we were fantastic, and we were the ones who made Wire look average, I do temper the excitement with the fact I think the pitch and conditions certainly suited us - the sandpit certainly doesn’t encourage fast, free flowing, quick ptb rugby - the stuff Clarke thrives on. We played the conditions great; the kicking to touch, stop/start nature of the game, combined with the sandpit taking the speed out of the bigger players legs all stopped Wire being able to play their best style. Here’s to a long, wet summer....

Enormous amount of positives from last night obviously but the standout for me was the team spirit. That was a bunch of guys really enjoying what they did and really working hard for each other.

This was sadly missing in recent times and I applaud Agar for what he has brought to this squad.

What a sad, boring comment that was. We were brilliant tonight. I called the “gamble” with Gale paying off, he generalled that game very nicely. Lui played his part with Gale nicely aswell and it worked. Dwyer has his point to prove last nice and it was proved, he was great. Prior is a defensive demon, enough said. Luke Briscoe should not be dropped for Tom at all he is developing and stepping up a great deal. Hurrell was very good but he needs to stop thinking he is SBW with these cheeky flicks because they never come off. All middles were great and dominated the field. Myler again is proving the point of why he deserves to be in the team and that he isn’t a 7 and better support/running player. Handle was good too and our wingers are a lot smaller than theirs by a long way and they could not keep up the pace. Shame about Walker because he is developing into an England no.1 easily. Hope he comes back strong. Smith deserves his place and should be our 13. but I see why Agar went big tonight and it worked perfectly. Martin is one of the best 2nd towers in the league easily, enough said. Donaldson tries his best all the time and it’s a credit to him. But Harry Newman, how good is he going to be? Easily going to be on a par with a top form pre injury Watkins and the best of Senior, he is class. But a great tactical set out from Agar and the team, we dominated Warrington going big and lettting the halves direct us. Our defence, desire and team spirit really worked. Warrington were never given the chance to play and that’s the jist of it, they got suffocated. Overall fantastic performance. But I have to say Widdop is garbage, I’m so glad we didn’t get him. He is past it now and did nothing. That Warrington team should be top of the league unbeaten with the caliber of players they have.

Great performance.
Early days but we look like we are capable of competing with the top end of the table instead of the bottom this season. Much tougher tests ahead but our attack has improved out of sight with Gale, and the defence has been much better since Agar took over.
Dwyer made the comment after the game that the culture changed when Agar came to the club. He deserves a lot of credit for the team spirit that has returned and the fact that they all look to be playing for each other again. I'm sure there will be plenty more bumps in the road but at least we are going to games thinking that we may have a chance again.
Well done.

The interview with JJB and agar before the game on sky was v interesting with regards to how they’ve brought back the spirit of the rhinos. Should try and watch it if anyone missed it.
Also, been so impressed with myler. Got to say I’m not so sure where leering will fit in at the moment.

We’re starting to look a better balanced side. Gale makes such a difference, his distribution is better than we’ve had for a very long time. We can suddenly play a bit and the skill level of the side is far improved.

Great to see a fully fit Gale again, I did wonder whether he would get back to that level again. I'm not sure why so many Leeds fans dislike him.

Myler is undropable at the moment. Very difficult for Leeming to get back in but hes out until summer and theres a long way to go yet.
