I agree with most of this, but I think the club will find it too costly to manage in one go.
We know JJB is going. Golding is virtually out of the door. I'd be surprised if Ferres is retained with the signings of Martin and Mellor already sorted.
Ablett and Crosby probably ought to look at retiring or moving on. I guess if either were to return before the end of the season and make an impact this would be a sign that they may be staying with us.
Albert is providing useful cover in the relegation battle but he doesn't look like holding down a first team place - so probably on the way out. Were the rumours of his 2 year contract ever substantiated?
Cuthbertson, before the last two weeks, looked like a player on the verge of retirement. If he's standing in the way of us signing Maloney, it's probably time to go. As I said earlier, I'd keep Peteru - he offers way more than some of our other forwards, not to mention past 'legends' like Bailey and Kirke.
I can't see the club moving on Tom Briscoe and Singleton if they are still under contract. L. Briscoe has reserve team written all over him.
Nervous about signing Burgess - we'd be paying a lot for the name, when he's struggling for form...
