I think you'll find he was provisionally registered to us and that this year at least the agreement with the doggies is the equivalent to loan deal!!

My understanding was Eastwood is still on a Leeds contract and he is just loaned to the Bulldogs for this season.

I would imagine that means he is a registered Leeds player and can play as soon as his visa is sorted.

Yep, thought so, you are talking rubbish. If you would like to please point out to me where the RFL Operational Rules for 2009 it talks about player eligibility for the league please feel free to point these out to me. Of course for the CC it is rules B4:7 to B4:10, so don't look that far down.

FWIW I've never heard or read him say anything particularly positive about moving to Leeds. The interview he gave to Queensland TV on the day of the deal (when still a Bronco, prior to visa issues and no Bulldogs in sight) he basically said it was amoney-only deal for him. At least he's being honest I suppose.

As long as he's committed once he's here that will do for me.

I'm not having a go. In some ways its refreshing to hear him talk that way instead of the usual 'challenge' and 'life experience' cobblers most overseas players spout.

Me too. I thought that after the Andrew Johns and then Adrian Morley farces that they had moved to stop sides signing someone up just for the playoffs?

Would explain why we've never replaced him (for this season) if there is a chance he could join immediately. Would give us a massive boost going in to the play offs.
