I just tweeted him and he replied and said he would sure to let us know! I wouldn’t mind him staying on a reduced contract for a bit of experience, the back end of this season he hasn’t been bad and the amount of crap they pulled from his Knee he might come better after that!

His problem wasn't his knee, it was his head, that is where he was not up to the standard we required. I agree since Cas away he has been far better, but that doesn't make him now deserving of a new deal.

It would have to be very reduced to get my vote mate.

Back row is not an area we're struggling in - not for the type of player Ferres is anyway.

We have Ward, Merrin, Martin, Sutcliffe, Mellor plus the young lads coming through who need a pathway. I'd much rather a Ferres salary went into the new prospects with their careers ahead of them.

Having experienced heads doesn't fly when those experienced players keep giving up stupid penalties and putting their side under pressure, which he does.

He has aggression and is a tough nut, which we do lack a bit of, but it's not enough for me personally.

Martin plays the full 80, Merrin and a fit Ward play long minutes plus the others you mention so for mine Ferres is not needed.

Total Rugby League have a list of none contracted players for next season.For Leeds it only mentions Donaldson and Lunt.

Think people are getting carried away. I read it as he is saying he is fit and ready to play again next year. Just putting himself in the shop window. Won't be a Leeds player next season.
