Well, if he has passed a medical then nothing else to be said on the fitness front.

Sure, he could break down but so could any player at any point.

Let's see if this does get over the line as many here suggest and then see what that means for Myler and mclelland.

Ridiculously, I don’t think it even has to be the two highest earning players.
Hypothetically, imagine Harrell is on 200k and Gale is on 175k. If Hurrell is named as the marquee player, 175k of that is counted on the cap (so 25k dispensation). If Gale is named as the marquee player, only 75k would be counted on the cap (so 100k dispensation). That’s 75k more Leeds have on the salary cap by signing Gale than signing someone else.
And that’s why they are willing to take the risk of signing a 31 year old who hasn’t played for two years due to two serious injuries. And why they are willing to pay good money as a transfer fee to get him.

Wasnt meaning Gale specificly, more just making the point on not being tied nto a certain player being marquee. If we were to sign another Aussie on more money than Hurrell, we could move the marquee to that player instead of Hurrell. Basicly, clubs can choose whichever 2 players they want to be classed as marquee.

I'm certain Myler will be moved on. Mclelland, i hope reports of his improvement are true as he will be stand by and likely be needed at various stages. If Gale breaks down again could be needed for a long period.

Regards Gale its a big risk but not too many options available in that position. If he stays fit im sure it will be a good signing.

So, Richardson to Cas, Gale to Leeds, and Myler to HKR.

Also, Golding to Hudds.

Golding hasn't been playing super league so he won't be as sharp as Walker. Ashton is a good full back and could come back to haunt us.

Not sure how you can base that opinion Tad on that one game against York.
He constantly cleared his line breaking at least the first man and his defence was not questioned.
He looks to have bulked up better than Walker who now and again breaks a tackle.
But we are comparing two different leagues so for me it's not that easy.
Who knows McLelland looks good in the Championship.
Are you saying Golding doesn't?

Regards Golding, I agree he is behind walker but who is our back up if Golding goes and walker gets injured. Walker is prone to picking up knocks.

I would be happy to see Golding kept on but appreciate the player himself knows he needs to move on for the good of his career.

Golding hasn't been used to back-up Walker for a whole season, this is hardly a new problem.

Sutcliffe is the logical cover; whether he's up to it is another matter.

So long as Sutcliffe never plays in the halves again...

If Martin plays I don't see a role for Sutcliffe in the first 17. He's OK at centre and that's about it. Utility is pointless if you're rubbish in every position.
