Agar confirms that we are actively looking to replace Merrin which is good news as long as we get it done

Prior is pretty handy still. If we get the next signing right we’ll start looking halfway decent.

Losing Merrin will be a blessing. He was going to go at the end of this season anyway if not midway through. This way we avoid a season of waiting for it to happen and the club can move on.

Sure, it would have been better had it happened last month but that's life and I have no Ill will to Merrin for putting his family first.

Now we have a better looking front row, some cap space and if Martin's passport is sorted a quota spot. It needs to used widely but it gives us options.

Another prop ideally, as I said earlier if ward can finally stay injury free he is a miles better player than Merrin.
Also great opportunity for Cameron Smith yo step up and show what he really can do, make of break season for him.

What is with the cam Smith love fest. Average at best. Has a lot to prove. No better than sutty and way below Donaldson in every department.

Good job we are using the reserves next season, only way he will get a game.

Gutted a bit, very annoyed the way it has happened, no integrity left there, just couldn’t wait to get home really, he could have been honourable to use the way we have backed him. It just shows how much of a pushover we are for not requesting a fee. But hey ho that’s it now. Gale should be Captain purely on his leadership skills. I know Frosties really wants Sutcliffe to be Captain because he is consistently in the team, but I just don’t think he is a leader. Also I hope we don’t rush into getting another one season wonder, I would rather hunt a bit.

He has to work hard pre season then because I would have him playing reserves, there are plenty ahead of him.

I agree I was initially annoyed how he had gone about it but I think long term good for the club he isn’t a marquee player, and was a waste of a spot.
He had a good year last year and was a good player for us but off field wasn’t a very good role model in terms of professionalism.

Is he moving for family reasons had several offers didn’t he in the window we gave him and decided to come back to Leeds?

Either way quite happy he has gone better to be rid than have someone not wanting to be here. Just hope we don’t rush out and panic buy someone would like us to take our time get the right person

Would also add Sinny has wielded the axe since has come back and well done.
He stated the club was rotten to the core and has acted to rid the deadwood/average.joes.
