This sounds like total buffoonery.

We are going to sign a hooker now (why!) But if he gets a better offer we will let him go (so he doesn't really want to be here - great).

Meanwhile we have Falloon who is contracted to the end of the year but suspect this will show him what Leeds really think of him and he will leave.

Net result is we end up paying for two hookers now, both of which will probably leave at the end of the year meaning we have no hookers.

If this is serious and not some ITK idiotic comments then GH has lost it.

This can't be true.

[quote="ThePrinter The wings I think would be Hall and Handley if the latter is fit (not sure what his injury is). Ablett and Golding were said will be OK for the Widnes game and that Tom Briscoe and Ward would be "there or there abouts" too so might even see Tom Briscoe back although might be the following week.

Blimey I forgot all about Hall
If Handley isn`t fit he will play Hardaker on the wing with Hall probably.
I thought Falloon has looked better recently which is typical if Segeyaro steps in to replace him.
Whilst Segeyaro is the better player it would be a kick in the teeth for Falloon now that he is injury free.
We still need a decent organising SO at all costs.
Benji Marshall but that means offloading another Ausie.

Yep. GH by plenty.

Had a perfectly good 9 in Aiton, were too tight to pay him as one of the best 9s in the competition and are now reaping the results.

True, but given that he spent most of his first season with us sick and a significant portion of his second injured and has spent pretty much the entirity of this season (has he played yet?) - injured again, I'm not sure it would have made any difference if we had kept him. We'd still be looking for a hooker IMO.

I wonder if the Cronulla drug issue still lingering in the background was a factor too.

My concern is that every overseas player we've signed in the past few years has taken half a season to settle in.

I'd say Cuthbertson and Garbutt both hit the ground running.

Great, so he comes in now, and raring to go for next year, when it matters more

He already has a club. Just whether the deal is done with Leeds.

What's wrong with the lad?

He had enquiries from 11 NRL clubs a couple of years ago, and received offers from 7, but decided against them.

Interest in him is waning.

Does he really want to go?

Cuthbertson... ok, Garbutt took more than a few games to settle.

This week: Four keys to a Rhinos win in the WCC

Re: Segeyaro this week! : Wed Jun 22, 2016 2:39 pm
Immediate loan swap with Hardaker until the end of the 2016 season it is then.

No news yet on which overseas player needs to be deregistered then, although I suspect it might be Falloon.
