What the hell is wrong, we are better than this...something is going wrong and I dont know what it is, but it needs sorting. We the fans are being short-changed, we pay good money in these tough times and we have a right to demand more effort. Is it the coach, or have the players become demoralised after the Cup K.O., whatever the reason it needs addressing, and quickly cos our season is fast disintigrating.

i dont know what it is - but it is no good blaming the coach as i heard in the ss at half time

not enough punch maybe - huddersfield away does not look an enticing prospect

Against Bulls they thought they could turn up and win.

Today they thought they could turn up and win.

On both occasions before the game they spoke in the media about "Bouncing Back" and "Hurting". Basically talking a load of bull$h!t telling the fans what they want to hear.

They thought they could bounce back automatically without much effort. Degrading the opposition.

Thats what the deserve.

I sat behind Jason Cayless at the Saints game today. He was chatting to some Australian guy who said before the kick off that is was a good time to be playing Leeds as from the coversation he'd had with someone at Leeds (A player's relation I assume) it seems they are clocking off for a few weeks.

Isn't that the problem? To me it seems that the coach and team seem to think that, despite this slump, they will automatically be ready for and will win the GF, so why bother. Arrogance? Complacency? You can't turn form on and off when it suits. You have to work your way out of a slump in form and the present set of players (JP apart) don't seem to want to do that. No problem for them as there is virtually no competition for places.

The fact is that Super League is now so competitive (Outside the top 2) that the team finishing third will probably lose 10 league games this season. If losing to Salford in April means you are in second and as fresh as a daisy as opposed to top and held together with spit and masking tape, surely it's worth doing?

Leeds and Saints both know already that the play offs are a guaranteed outcome. The step up in intensity doesn't need to happen until September, it's the main problem of the grand final system and why increasing the playoffs to 8 teams is stupid, it just rewards poor performances.
