My wife and I will be at Headingley for the Warrington Game in a couple of weeks. As the original date was Friday 31 July, we are booked into the Headingley Lodge from Friday afternoon. The game has been switched to the Saturday by Sky, so we will be stuck in the hotel with no game on Friday night. Can any kind Rhinos fan tell me if there is a pub in the vicinity of Headingley Lodge which is likely to be showing the Friday televised game.

Headingley: The pub / bar / restaurant / takeaway capital of RL Land. A few suggestions on the Official Otley Run Website. I'd also recommend Arcadia in the Arndale centre. Some excellent ales in there and because (IIRC) they don't do electrified fizzy p!ss like Carling, it will be largely tax-dodger free.

Hmmmm,

Remember the night of the grand final, when we rushed back from our freebie at Old Trafford in the expectation that the supporters club would be heaving ?

How many others were in the bar with us ? Was it two or three ?


Get yourself up into Headingley (turn left out of the gates of the Lodge and just keep walking straight up the road until you hit civilisation in five minutes) and then have a browse around the numerous bars until you find one that suits.

why not get a taxi in to leeds city centre for a meal and a few drinks?

Somebody (ahem) did a detailed guide to the food and drink options of Headingley and its environs that used to sit on the SS.com website - sadly it got lost in one of the multitude of server crashes RFLANS used to experience on a regular basis a few years ago.

Perhaps someone familiar with the area would like to take up the challenge of re-doing it so we can post it as a sticky for opposition speccies?
