wheres the best place for a beer before the game , apart from mancs city centre not much round the ground from what i can remember

Matchstick man pub at Salford Quays. 5-10 mins walk from Stadium, good atmosphere and mix of fans.

Or Sam Platts. Never been in there but always seems popular...

Village Inn, Third Ave, 15min from ground. Park up and get in there for 1ish is the plan. The missus will be driving home!

I'd rather drink my own p!ss than go in Sam Platts.

Queuing to get in plus I think it's about £5 too.

Beer is s and it's full of idiots throwing beer around in the tent.

Always found the Railway Club a good place for a few drinks before the game and well priced too.

It's a bit of a walk but Chorlton has some fantastic bars and pubs. It's about a 20 min walk from the stadium. Highly recommended.

No we've been going in there every year when we get to OT!

I was going to ask / see if anyone is about and feeling a bit friendly - I am getting the coach from Headers and going alone - would be cool if anyone wants a drink and a chat before. Would also be good to put faces to names before I go move to Glasgow in a couple of weeks. Let me know if interested - if not I'm sure my natural charm (haha!) will shine through enough on others.
