Looking to be without Walker, Fusitua, Newman, Austin, Sezer, Tetevano, Myler, Holroyd, Walters, Johnson, Tindall, Edwards (non recallable loan). Likely that Bentley will be banned.

Martin should play Centre, Simpson can’t play 3 games in a week at 17 in a position where you’re tackling forwards all the time.

Lose it his and we are in the tightest spot I can recall since I started going in the mid 80’s

Really is backs to the wall now. Bare bones is an understatement. Id like to see Gannon starting in the centre, get him running a bit wider. Sinfield deserves another go. Broadbent has to play otherwise somethings gone seriously wrong with the player/club relationship. If everyone below is fit this is how id go.

We’re so out of options it’s almost a case of playing players where they will do the least damage to us. With this in mind, Leeming must be hooker to give our undersized forwards any chance of getting a catchable pass. This means Sutcliffe must play halfback (I know), and Broadbent has to play fullback. Unfortunately this again is a totally new spine. I’d play Martin and Mellor in the centres, Simpson shouldn’t be exposed in this game, and I’d play Sinfield with Sutcliffe in the halves. He’s got an old head on young shoulders, but ideally wouldn’t be playing just yet but we’re out of options.
