Just how bad we were tonight. Take nothing away from Salford though. They deserved the win from the off.
as a salford fan (and liking that mancunians badge...see you in a fortnight, i'm Bury's sec), i think it was just an all round bad day at the office for saints - and salford being 'structured' in a way a 'lesser' side needs to be to beat a side which has better quality players. i'll be sure that the game stats will show us having a far better completion rate and very few dropped balls (i counted a single handling error in our first half and one penalty that gave you good field position!).
long was off form and pressured into some uncharacteristic loose balls, eastmond didn't seem to have the alround gamesmanship (experience?) to step in, and the forwards for you looked tired! probably do you good though...late mid-season defeat concentrating minds on winning the end of year shield.
