It's highly refreshing : Sat May 02, 2009 8:20 pm
To know that a defeat to Wigan still hurts as much as it should. After nearly four years of them being unable to beat us (bar when they played a side already top and chillaxing before the play-offs), today has my blood boiling.

This is the way it should, and the game at Knowsley Road later in the year all of a sudden cannot come around soon enough.

Fires in supporters bellies may well have been re-ignited today.

I doubt it. You can guarantee that next Sunday's crowd will be as lethargic as what our players were today. I hope I'm wrong, but I shouldn't think I will be.

What tosh. If we had played our hearts out, like we did when we last played Wigan, but still lost then yes, I'd agree with you, the spirit of the derby would likely have returned. However, we played sh!te for the second week running, with a needless loss last week, and I don't think we'll beat Catalans next week. I don't think we will get anywhere this season. Not because we have lost two on the row - we did that last year and I didn't think we would get nowhere - but because of the way we played and how we have lost all cohesion as a team.

I thought tonight was our acid test when it came to our claims that the derby game is back as competative as it should be after 2 good Wigan preformences in the last 2 games against You guys.

I thought we passed it with flying colours which is nice to see and as much as the loss hurts the knowledge that you may start seeing competative derbies again must come as abit of consolation..............i think.

Can't wait for the Knowsley road game now.
