EDIT: checking the link, deacon is in the squad. I don't think he'll be dropped.

Deacon probally will be in the starting 17, I just dont think he should be with regards to Semi, he pulled up with the same thing as he did at murryfield and dont think that the the problem has cleared up in 5 days.

Come on Macca, you have to drop Deacon this week!! he was awful and struggled getting up every time he was tackled. He has clearly become a target.

And Platt can sit another out for me..

given that semi looks likely to miss out through injury then one of deacs/platt is going to have at least be on bench and I cant see point of having deacon on the bench. at least platt covers a few positions, even if we dont use him like in the leeds game.

It will be the same team as last week bar Nero for Tadulala.

Too right, Deacon will keep trotting out until the opposition have knocked seven bells out of him and he ends up sidelined with another injury for a few weeks.

Do you think Deacon recognises the problems he's having with his game and could he make the decision to drop himself. He's obviously highly thought of within the club so his opinion must count and as captain surely one eye must be on what's best for the side.

Should that not really be McNamara'a job to identify and drop the under-performers?

Yep but there must be some responsibility on the players to say if they aren't fit and Deacon isn't handling the physical side of the game at the moment.
