As your final statement, can I say you may be in the minority in saying the RFL were the "who" in the "who saved who stakes"> If that is meant as a bitter pill to swallow for Bradford fans...I would say it isn't well disguised, or in fact sweetened?

If he's worth £8b and is genuinely interested then he'll just buy the club off Green.

If he's that bothered why didn't he bid last time? We weren't in danger of relegation then either.

Funny how Mandy isn't now going to invest because as Marwan says "Marc Green won't be interested in selling half right now"

Lots of saving face going on in that article and Green's clearly cheesed off the T&A by not making himself available for interview yesterday.

It doesn't say whether that backing consisted of money or a note with "good luck lads" written on it.

What it certainly didn't consist of was enough money for a winning bid, which for all the characters behind bids now crawling out could have been bought three times over in full with the change in their pockets. If they were serious.

Pretty much this. I can't believe any bidder who has een involved in these fraught negotiations suddenly cannot find evidence of funds when demanded. Though I do tend to worry there might be an automatic reluctance to get involved with big city money from groups outside the game, which is what Lamb was suggesting.

Why would anyone who doesn't have a love for the game want to invest millions? They'd be better tipping straight into the Thames.

Im a billionaire, and so's my wife. And im so serious and so loaded that in the last 2 months I just couldnt find a day or two and (probably) less than 250k and proof of my enoumous personal wealth to make certain of owning the club I was clearly destined to own.....

Anyone who had serious funds and was really serious has had ample chance to blow the other offers out of the water, they didnt, the details of the BB2014 bid ended up in the public domain, the loans and outstanding debt was known, so the bars to clear for billionaires or millionaires were fairly low I reckon.

But if they are so serious and so in love with us Im sure they'll be waiting in the wings next time.....or indeed putting an offer to Mr Green to get involved on the board or ask for his price to sell on......whats that? silence?.....
