Statement from Wood read out...

Basically asked to help out, would have been easy to stand back but family has been supporters for many years and couldn't stand back.

Will not be involved in day to day running.

Sawyer has given him a nudge to get involved.

Squad will be competitive... some players will leave but club will have a squad that is competitive.

Club has been biggest club in this area and needs to be again. Need to get on better with RFL and clubs.

Perez will be interim Chairman... will bring sponsors and investors.

Only way to move forward is to unite as fans...

Supporter base is great even if you call a few more forward passes than most.


Eric Perez will be involved for a "few months".

Plan is to get back to Odsal... Sawyer been to meetings with council, MP (who has been really supportive) and they all will be working to get club back to Bradford.

First games he saw was at packed Odsal. Fell in love with rugby league and fell in love with club.

When asked by Wood to get involved had no hesitation.

Will bring in sponsors and investors.

Whilst here will work tirelessly to do best for the club

Cynical old Yorkshireman but seen what vibrant healthy progressive club Toronto are. Look who broke the cycle and worth sticking around.

Steve crossley and Sam Hallas lifeblood of the team.

Squad will be smaller but good small group.

I'm confident because of Beattie and Dunning with youth development. Small squad supported by youth.

Might be tough and may get backsides kicked but I'm willing to accept the challenge.

If Sawyer is a 'consultant', and Perez is 'interim' chairman, and Wood won't be hands-on - then who will actually be running the club next season?

Crossley staying at the club... knows how Perez operates and he has a vision to put us on right track
