A decision will be made on Jimmy when they discuss one thing - season ticket sales.
Lose just 500 sales and that is at least £100k. Add in the loss of walk up spectators now they realise how this championship competition works = 11 home games where only a hand full are actually worth watching. How many will think about that and decide to pay on the day for the 3-4 that are worth watching.
This season has been a novelty going away to grounds I haven't been to for many years. That isn't the case next year. Do I really want a season ticket to watch about 6-7 teams that are not worth watching?
When Green and Ferres have a quiet chat and think about that they might just see a pay-off to Jimmy as a reasonable investment. We have re-signed players but no word about Harrison.
We probably can't sign top players to hold ST sales but bringing in a highly respected coach - well, that could do it and inject that feel good factor again and help push ST sales.
It all depends on the numbers but it must be going through their minds.
I couldn't go today and watched Sky and there was a point where the camera caught Lowe's sat next to Duffy in the stand and Jimmy was looking at the floor after us letting in yet another try and Duffy looked at Jimmy and the expression on his face was a picture of disgust. I thought then that there is one person at the club who has lost faith in Jimmy.
It seems awful to say but I actually think Leigh should get the £1m game and not us as they have been the best championship team by a long way this year. They are a team. We are just a bunch of players. I want us to get it but it would be unfair to Leigh if I was being honest as we have been poor all year and hardly put in a full performance other than playing woeful Salford. I thought we would beat Leigh next week but I am now doubtful as the team don't look interested. Have they listened to Jimmy for too long and it has no affect any more?
