For those people who don't buy or read the LE last week Stevo in his column made some comment about our finances



This week Peter Hood has made a response

It's totally unproffessional of Stevo to do this. A national broadcaster using a weekly newspaper column to indulge in damaging and unfounded tittle tattle about the financial health of one of the clubs in the sports elite dvision.

Considering that the Bulls have this year announced a new sponsorship deal with a multinational logistics company and a partnership with an insurance broker did it not occur to Stevo that these companies might not have come on board without looking over the books first?

If I were Peter Hood I'd be demanding a full retraction in League Express as this could be highly damaging at corporate level if anyone took any notice of the rantings of Mike Stephenson!

I totally agree with this. With the amount of negativity about the clubs finances it could soon become a self fulfilling profecy if we are not careful.

Well it just proves what we all know, Stevo is an idiot and knows jack $hit. Glad to hear that from Hood, shows he has some balls.

That is really poor IMO - obviously we are not rolling in cash but we do have a self sufficient business model in place now and stability.

Something most dont have in SL. Hood should be congratulated for this, im not sure he gets the recognition he deserves for this

I hope a solictors letter found its way to Mr Stephenson's letterbox for his pains. I too am astonished that he would use his column to spread what appears to be pure malicious gossip with no credible source.

I'm sure we shouldn't be making allegations about what Stevo does with his column. I hear he's a Big Unit

He does it every week with player rumour's 99% of them unfounded so it's no surprise really.

Stevo needs to get the message out to this Bratfud outfit that he's sorry for using his column as if it's the women's institutte coffee morning gossip session.

Imo he's an absolute idiot.

The big difference is that rumours about players have nuisance value; spreading malicious rumours about the alleged impending insolvency of a business is a far more serious matter and may well be actionable.

Something that malicious posters on this board should stop and consider before posting potential libel.
