sorry theres another post about new team and rumours but who would your ideal team be for next season who we keep and who we sell. Who should we buy who is out of contract?
Keep:
ainscough - 1/2 years
pryce - 1 year and if he doesnt do anything get rid but put him at centre
walker - 1 year
sammut - sign up for as long as possible
Manuokafoa - sign up long term
mcavoy - sign long term
donaldson - sign up
addy - sign up long term
Sign:
Louis Sheriff - maybe but couldnt see him leaving KR
Scott murrell - heard the rumours he is coming but would be good cover
ryan bailey - either love him or hate him but i think he is a good player and could add a lot to the pack
lamont bryan - dont know what he is like but is he worth a shot
luke adamson - heard rumours about him coming but Im not sure what he is like either
andrew dixon - would love to have him at bulls
stefan marsh - potential i think
stuart fielden - would love to have him back and hope the rumours are true
now im not saying we should sign all these but I think there is some good players there to look at, thoughts?
With our SL license only being for one year at a time until the next full round in 2014, I cannot see it making sense to sign anybody beyond one season.
We got the best out of the players thsi year when they were literally plating for thier livlihoods. Lets keep that spirit going! one Eg is Mike PLatt. How good has he been now hes getting to the end of his contract, after a couple of very poor years?
I think that if I was in FC's shoes, my priority would be sorting out my stand-off for next year. Getting the possible combonations at 1-6-7-9-13 sorted is a massive thing. Knowing the type of player we will have at 6 is vital to how the team is going to play and the rest of the squad needs to be built around the halves.
Props need sorting too. I'd love to see Nas signed up asap, and I'm sure there are plenty of players out there that would do a good job. Look at what Andy Raleigh has done at Wakefield. He's a hardworking, straight up and down player and that is the type of guy we need.
Loan players may be a good option too if teams were willing to lend fringe players out. If you look around just off the top of my head there's the likes of Lee Gaskell at Saints not getting much of a look in at the moment who is definately of Super League standard, and I'm positive there are other lads about of similar quality.
Does anyone know if there is somewhere that I can see a list of OOC players from the whole of Super League? I'd be very interested to see one.

cribbed shamelessly from frosties thread on the VT, no idea how accurate or up to date it is but;
OOC players by club;
Bradford Bulls
Chev Walker, Manase Manuokafoa, Shaun Ainscough, James Donaldson, Jarrod Sammut, Daniel Addy, Jason Crookes, Liam McAvoy, Karl Pryce, Phil Joseph. (Kopout?)
Catalan Dragons
Sebastien Raguin, Steve Menzies.
Huddersfield Giants
Adam Walker, Tommy Lee, Scott Moore.
Hull FC
Will Sharp, Mike Burnett, Liam Cunningham, Lewis Brown, Ryan McGoldrick.
Hull Kingston Rovers
Louis Sherrife, Nick Johnson, Chris Heil, Aaron Ollet, Dave Peterson
London Broncos
Ben Bolger.
Salford City Reds
Luke Adamson, Vinnie Anderson, Josh Veivers.
St Helens
Andrew Dixon, Scott Hale
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
Paul Johnson.
Warrington Wolves
Rhys Williams, Lee Mitchell
Widnes Vikings
John Kite, Kurt Haggerty.
Wigan Warriors
Stuart Fielden, Stefan Marsh, Joe Mellor, Chris Tuson, Sean O'Loughlin
Id keep:
Chev Walker, Manase Manuokafoa, Shaun Ainscough, James Donaldson, Jarrod Sammut, Daniel Addy, Jason Crookes, Liam McAvoy, Karl Pryce, Phil Joseph - I believe Crookes is going to Hull though. I would keep all these as we really can't afford to get rid of more players.
I would also try to add Fielden, Dixon and Anderson to the squad. However this may be hard.

I like Andrew Dixon at Saints. He'd be worth a look. The same goes for Paul Johnson at Wakey. Rhys Williams has a decent try scoring record, but I think it would be a waste of resources taking him on if we keep Ainscough and Pryce aswel as Kear. I'd snap him up if we lost any of those lads though. I'd be delighted to see Fielden return, also from Wigan I'd be very interested in Stefan Marsh and Joe Mellor from that list, although I thought I'd heard that they're both staying at Widnes next year. Tuson and O'Loughlin would be great but I'm sure that these two are re-signed at Wigan by now.
I'd take Scott Murrell for his utility value and Super League experience, and if he went elsewhere I'd look at Tommy Lee to play a similar role, although I feel that it is important to get Adam O'Brien plenty of game time next season.
from our list I'd keep, in order of preference, Manuokafoa, Addy, Ainscough, Donaldson, McAvoy, Sammut (if there is space on the quota) Pryce, Walker.
from the other SL clubs I'd look at;
Andrew Dixon Scott Murrell Stuart Fielden
I'd also ask Menzies if he fancied starting his coaching career as an assistant coach with us.
But this is all just a wish list really, we'll need to see how the reality of who leaves starts to pan out first before we can see where the gaps are going to be.
