NRL rookie reality TV series : Tue May 31, 2016 6:31 am  

Looking forward to this program starting tonight. http://www.nrl.com/the-nrl-rookie-episo ... fault.aspx The interesting thing is the 28 contestants come from 8 different countries. All the contestants have to have not played NRL or in lower grades of NRL clubs in the last 3 years. I expect there will be players from PNG, Fiji, NZ, Aus and maybe Samoa and Tonga, but I'm hoping for a few from USA, Canada, and it would be great if we see a Serbian, Italian or Lebanese player.

couple of poms in the final 14 (they cut the squad from 28 to 14 on the first night.)
one of the poms played union 7s at the commonwealth games - the other is a huge unit who was an Olympic bobsled guy.
others include the son of Dale Shearer, kid from PNG, kid from Fiji. The nfl triallist from the USA missed out, as did a bunch of others who looked pretty good.

Yes it is, don't think any dates have been announced yet though. Seems really weird that Sky would bother with this when they have seemingly washed their hands of NRL coverage and Premier have been picking up all of the other Aussie magazine/highlight shows.

Agree with the above, I have little no interest in these gimmick shows I just want to see the games.

i enjoyed it, possibly a little bit too compressed for my liking though, i'd have liked to have got to know the blokes a bit better. (speed dating maybe )
