The crusaders players up in arms on twitter. None of them were told, the club is ran as a joke, they've been led down the garden path.

Reminds me of Alan Partridge when he was sacking his staff at Peartree Productions.

"Alan, have we got a license?"

"Yes...He didn't give me the details just said we've got a license, everyone is on board...and who left this coffee cup here? That's not good enough. You're sacked!"

Maybe they should all nip out to the longstanton spice museum and forget about it for the afternoon.

sahme, RL would be all the better for a strong Welsh presence. Was a dogs breakfast from day one, seems the RFL learnt nothing form Paris and Gateshead.

I think they did.
Cru was a better project than both Gateshead and Paris, there was more money in SL then for a start

really? I'd love to have seen their long term financial plan and their strategy document from the time they were accepted. Seems that since day one they have struggled off the field and were admitted in some vain hope that they would come good.

Don't be naive. They clearly could not tell the players in advance as it would have instantly leaked on Twitter etc ( see Keith Senior ). In an ideal world it would have been the polite thing to do but it's just not practical in today's wired world.

They've obviously been given reassurances on crusaders future, only for the club themselves to pull out at the nth hour and leave them in the lurch.

Crusaders were still making signings last week so they've really let people down, or been pushed to make this decision by the RFL but it sounds to me like the players were under the impression this club was secure for the future.

Some people could not handle the reality of the situation. They wanted the game in Wales at any cost. Well here is the cost of not preparing properly. Here is the cost of allowing flimsy promises and wishful thinking override the sense of reality.

People were saying last time they weren't ready, they were full of foreigners they shouldn't have had, were led by a businessman with a history of pulling out of sporting ventures, their crowds were artificially inflated but people dismissed us all as bitter. We knew what was going on, they were paying lip service to the process and now the game once again has egg on it's face.

They have done far more damage to the game in Wales by promoting them early and people still won't learn off the back of it I guarantee that. I've no reason to be bitter any more. My club has reached super league, so I was looking forward to maybe visiting Wrexham, we were going to show them how away crowds should be done, but as far as I'm concerned justice has been done. I would have liked Halifax to get a shot too but they're frontrunners in the championship and hopefully will win something soon so the can apply again.

And i guarantee the RFL will still try these 'experiments' again and again to try and prove us all wrong eventually !!

Any credibility that posters on here had left, after saying Crusaders were ready for SL in 2009 whilst laughing at the doubters, has gone now.
