6 months sounds more severe than 8 games but it's just an 8 game ban in effect.

Pathetic sentence.
If it was 6 months from the very first game of the season then I'd be happy, but he's only going to miss a couple of months.

To me that's on the short side. Whilst it is a significant ban my gut reaction is it is too short. I am sure there will be people who think it is too long though.

I did expect him to get off lightly, which he has done, so hes very very lucky.

What is the point of a six month ban when the season is four months away? Should be six months from the first game of the season.
