On-field and off-field issues are completely separate in my view.
However the game is perceived to be refereed (and be in no doubt, I’m not great lover of James Child), it went wrong because a small minority of people couldn’t behave themselves properly. I don’t buy into blaming either club - they don’t control how individuals behave. The blame here lies with the individuals involved in violence, and both clubs should be identifying and banning them.

I would think the match review panel will be salivating at the prospect of banning some very immature people. I don't think Child could do much more than he did and for people to blame him for this is way out of line. Hill, Tomkins, Mcullorum et al need the book throwing at them for the potential harm they've done to the image of our sport.

Let's hope there is CCTV inside the stadium so that there can be an investigation on how the incident started. A few seconds of footage doesn't give the whole story, I've heard Catalans have previous for antagonising away supporters.

Maybe the solution is to ensure no mixed stands at the stadium.

Wire fans launched what I assume was ale at various points from the top tier down onto Saints fans and at what point did Saints fans wind Warrington fans up? Didn’t happen not sure why we’d bother seeing as though you won. And has it been proven that anything was thrown and hit a kid. There has been nothing to prove that at all.

Let me guess - Warrington supporters were not being obnoxious and swearing all night before it kicked off? I have seen it with them too many times to have any sympathy whatsoever.
