very interesting.....

the first step towards proffesionalism is always the hardest, i think if they can keep it going for 5 years then they will be in a very very strong position

just wait until some of the american marketeers get their hands on the game, its popularity would explode

Very interesting stuff. Someone must have more info on this, surely!?

8 cities and 8 teams... so they've must know at least who is involved! There's 10 teams in the AMNRL at the moment, so who is getting dropped? Or are they all going and new teams coming?

We gonna invite them into the Challenge Cup?!

i never saw that coming....I assume they are being supported by the ARL or the RFL (or both) in some way.

All very strange - have they got a tv deal/sponsorship etc etc - but at least they have given themselves 12 months to prepare for it.

Anyway, further growth of the game globally can only be a good thing.
